Ways to Backup Contacts on Android Phone
Contacts app is one of the most used applications on Android phone. Also it is one of the most important ones. You need to use it to make a phone call, send emails and check information of your contacts, including phone number, email address, job title, mail address, birthday, etc. To avoid losing important contacts, you’d better backup your Android contacts. There are mainly two kinds of ways to backup contacts on Android phone. One is to backup your Android contacts to Gmail account, the other is backup contacts from Android phone to computer. Today, I will show you step by step guide about how to backup contacts on Android phone.
If you have Gmail account, you can easily backup your Android contacts to your Gmail account. When you need them, you can easily sync them to your Android phone.
1. Open “Contact” app on your Android phone and click menu button.
2. Select “Move device contacts to” option and click “Google” > “OK”
3. All your Android contacts will be moved and saved to your Google account/Gmail.
You can log into your Gmail account on your computer and check the backed up contacts. All the contacts will be there, including phone number, names, email, job title, address and so on.

Step 1. Run Android Contacts Backup Program
Free download, install and run this program on your computer. Select “Android Data Backup & Restore” option on the main interface.
Step 2. Select Backup Data Type
Click “Device Data Backup” option on the interface. Select “Contacts” on the data list.
If you want to backup other data, you can also select them along with the “Contacts” option. If you want to backup your Android contacts with a encrypted backup file. If yes, you need to enter a password before backing up.

Step 1. Run Android Data Recovery
Run Android Recovery program on your computer, connect your Android phone to computer via USB cable. This program will detect your phone and connect your phone easily.
Step 2. Scan Android Phone to Find Contacts
After enabling USB debugging mode on your phone, this program will easily connect your phone fully. You can select the “Contacts” option on the list and click “Scan” button. This program will scan your phone and SD card deeply to find all the contacts on your phone.
